Introduction
As one of the most rampant non-communicable, cardiovascular disease is the number one killer globally. Coronary heart disease accounts for higher deaths than strokes. Statistics in USA also showed that more women die of cardiovascular deaths than women.

Better and timely control of this pervasive cause of death is critical. Approximately one-third of all patients with acute cardiac emergencies die without medical interventions. The key to successful management of cardiac emergencies is a rapid assessment accompanied by simultaneous interventions from nurses and doctors. This course will provide nurses with the knowledge to recognize, assess and manage cardiac emergencies more effectively.
